Who is the Monday Moron?

Put a sock in it Raffi...

It's another edition of the Monday Moron!  Kicking us off this week is steroid-cheat Rafael Palmeiro, who despite a positive test, is still trumpeting his innocence.  Even after a so-so 2008 season, Chargers CB Antonio Cromartie seems to think pretty highly of himself and dissed on his AFC West counterparts pretty harshly in an interview this week.  The Pistons are trying to keep pace in the East, but do the additions of Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva make them better than Cleveland, Boston, and Orlando?  We don't think so.  Vote in our Listener Poll.
Fantastic Fifteen for Federer

Six of Federer's record-setting 15 Grand Slam titles have come at Wimbledon

After another epic final at Wimbledon, Roger Federer stands alone.  The Swiss superstar edged a pesky Andy Roddick in five sets (5-7, 7-6, 7-6, 3-6, 16-14) to become the world's all-time Grand Slam Champion.  The win, the longest in Wimbledon history with 77 games, helped Federer pass Pete Sampras' mark of 14 Slams.  Federer had 50 aces but was not able to break Roddick until the 77th and final game.
Eight Straight for Fever

Even a hard-fought game from an athletic opponent wasn't enough to halt the Indiana Fever's win streak.  Tammy Sutton-Brown scored 22 points and Tamika Catchings added 19 as the Fever avenged an early-season loss to the Dream with a 78-74 win at the Fieldhouse.  The Fever (8-2) own the NBA's best record and extended their franchise-best winning streak to eight games, including six straight at home.  Indy is back in action Friday night in Chicago.
